In Italian, the prefix -in is used to form the opposite of many adjectives:
abbordabile ->inabbordabile
abile -> inabile
capace -> incapace
visibile -> invisibile
utile -> inutile
Before certain consonants, the -in prefix changes:
in + b = imb-
bevibile -> imbevibile
in + m = imm-
mobile -> immobile
in + p = imp-
palpabile -> impalpabile
in + l = ill-
lecito -> illecito
in + r = irr-
raccontabile -> irraccontabile
